Two areas of interest. The first, traveling over the Yucatan Peninsula, doesn’t seem to be on a path for the US mainland. The second, currently off the coast of Africa, could be one to take a modicum of concern in. It will all depend on a few variables. 1) How close it passes to Cuba and 2) Saharan Dust. If it passes close to the southern side of Cuba, it is likely to make landfall on the eastern part of the Texas coast. North, Louisiana. 2) Clouds of Saharan Dust bring dry air and strong winds. This could destroy the storm, preventing it to consolidate and become a serious threat.
Regardless, I will be watching.
