September 29th, 2022 – Ian Update

Ian now a tropical storm, leaves a wide swath of destruction across Florida.

The first responders and doing damage assessments and triaging the areas.

It makes me sick to report this part of the storm.

The data:
Landfall was at about 155 mph winds and a 9-12 ft. storm surge.

I’m working on figuring out what to post now.

I think people need to see something with the location of the center, hour by hour. I can interpolate and figure it out, but a lot of people can’t do that. NOAA shows the location every 12 hours, but maybe every two would be better.

    1. I agree, I wonder if my mapping techniques combined with some differential analyses of radar images could successfully identify the location and provide a minute-by-minute crosshair or similar.
